The beautiful outdoor setting along the river, across from Curwood Castle near downtown Owosso, Michigan, is home to concerts and events all summer long.

Summerfest includes a variety of music styles including R&B, country, rock, big band, and folk. Bring your blanket or bag chair and relax in the beautiful outdoors.

All concerts are free, but an at-will collection is taken at intermission.

Since 1997 Jill Jack has won 27 Detroit Music Awards in every conceivable category that applies to a singer-songwriter. “Her voice can soar like opera and smoke like the blues ... one of the strongest voices in Detroit, or in the country for that matter, The Detroit Free Press.”

Michigan’s unique pop orchestra has audiences believing they are experiencing a full orchestra.  This is a pop orchestra like no other with specialization in the music of early cinema, classical pieces and popular tunes.  The Bijou Orchestra will tape a PBS special in Chicago this fall.

Fiddlers ReStrung is an 18-piece string ensemble that tours nationally each summer with a stop in Owosso when they will proudly display a diverse arrangement of styles - American bluegrass, Celtic fiddle, popular folk, and Appalachian clogging - presented with a crisp, progressive flair. The ensemble engages the audience with energy and witty charm, advocating a message of spontaneous enthusiasm.

Harmonica virtuoso Peter Madcat Ruth and acoustic guitar wizard Shari Kane joined forces in 1990. Since then they have been touring nationally and internationally, delighting audiences wherever they go. Their repertoire includes many styles of American roots music including country blues, classic blues, and urban blues, plus a bit of folk music and a touch of jazz.

From the moment the stage smoke starts billowing out and you hear the beginning of the Moody Blues “Ride My See Saw” to the flower power feel of The Youngblood’s “Get Together” you instantly feel transported back in time to the Haight-Ashbury district of San Francisco in the late 1960”s. Suddenly it’s the “Summer of Love” and you’re there!

With their prodigy musicianship, precision vocals, and engaging stage presence, the Cats and the Fiddler leave audiences awestruck as they bring roots music into the next generation. Their repertoire, including bluegrass, country, folk, and southern gospel, presents both past and present artists along with their own originals for an all encompassing presentation of the musical genres...

Everything about Annie & Rod Capps’ music is thoroughly enjoyable whether it’s Annie’s sparkling vocals, Rod’s incredible guitar playing or their wonderful songs. There is a vitality to their performance that is infectious.  Great music by fun people.
