Golden

June 18th - Golden Rain Percussion Ensemble

A repertoire of music from all over the world with over 100 percussion instruments including 4 marimbas spanning our stage.

June 25th - Matt Watrobawith Robert Jones

Matt's voice masters folk songs with calming, light-hearted presentation-a tonic to these times; Rev Robert Jones accompanies him and is an American roots blues singer-named Michigan Artist of the Year in 2001.

Blue


July 9th - Blue Hawaiians*

Playing a variety of musical styles this highly entertaining Flint band with 1987 origins is best described in their CD title, "Blue Plate Special."

Cahal


July 16th - Cahal Dunne *

Ireland's "happy man" now hails from Pittsburgh and brings County Cork to Owosso with a tenor voice, award winning piano skills and the Eire humor.

July 23rd - Open Mic Night

Come for an Amphitheater first - Open Mic Night. Performers from everywhere are invited to showcase their talent on the Big Stage for a short set. Acoustic Music, light ensemble, A cappella, Poetry and Comedy welcomed. Suggested donation $5.00 for all performers and attenders. Proceeds to support Don & Metta Mitchell Amphitheater Summer Concerts.

Green

July 25th - Green Sky Bluegrass*

A special Saturday night concert, this national award winning touring act celebrates the Owosso Train Festival with Colorado bluegrass and features a boot shaking mandolin and a spirit of improvisation. **Rain site for this concert is Owosso High School

July 30th - AG Silver

This is rock with a conscience ("clean water for Africa"), light effects, and inspiring lyrics--a distinctly professionally production.


August 6th - Sounds of Shiawassee

Featured local musicians will perform a wide variety of music. The Dirt Surfers will crank up their electric surf-rock sound ("Pipeline", "Miserlou"), Jack 'n Tina will entertain with vocal harmonies (Simon and Garfunkel, Beatles), Stella will join the fun and singer-songwriter Graham Johnson will play selections from his independent release "Paper Plates and Aeroplanes".
